PADSTOW UNITED A.F.C.

Pain is temporary............Pride is forever.

12/12/09

Luckily we won 3-0 which put everyone in a good mood for the night ahead. We started in the social club in Pelynt with a couple and some excellent food to line our stomachs ( cheap beer there). the journey on the minibus was getting louder thanks to Rob Elliots mouth -" who are we!!!!!!!!" -Into Bodmin and managed to empty "the hole in the wall" with a few songs and the youngsters starting to wither with left hand drinking and the 4 ring pull game providing the loser with shots. Out of there into weavwers where Tom Mullard was handed a pint in his right hand , had a sip, then had to drink it all, poor bugger, but give him his due it didnt touch the sides. By this time the volume was getting really loud and some were starting to wobble. Onto Witherspoons not a good move as it turned out. I think we could be heard up the new police station "Green Army"  Too early for bouncers, we were asked to keep quit a couple of time but managed to last just over an hour at £1.99 a pint!! The final straw was when a waiter dropped a tray of glasses, and a chorus of  "Why was he born so ........." but we wern't thrown out! A noisy walk back to the mini bus, we came a cross an legend of an old guy, who joined in the frolics, i thought
the poor bloke was going to have a heart attack, jumping up and down singing
(see below)

As we got to the bus the noise was quite loud and I was glad to get them back on the bus, and heading towards Wadebridge,Robsvoice was starting to go,but he still kept shouting!

Arriving in Bridge we hit the swan for some friendly banter with the St Minver and wadebridge boys, by this time people were starting to wander, in a primeval mode hunting down food (Yummies is great when youve had a few)

With a trip to "the molesworth" and "bridge on" I managed to round them up and get them back to Padstow where I left them to their own devises. The good news is there was no fighting, everything was about having a good time. (mind I dont know what happened in Padstow! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all lads, hope you all had a good time. sorry about the quality of the pictures and lay out, my laptop shut down and im rushing incase it goes again.
But finally theres always one, and thats the number on his shirt "GREEN ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
